Polar Loop can seem like a regular fitness tracker that wearers expect. The Polar Loop is similar to the lifestyle-friendly and popular Whoop MG. the biggest difference being no mandatory monthly subscription. If the new Loop by Polar is anything like Whoop MG then it could be a good device. The Polar Loop fitness tracker to be worn continuously 24/7 as it would be tracking your sleep as well as activities. For that the dev ice has to be comfortable and look decent, and it seems Loop is able to provide both.

The physical design of the Loop is simple but does the job well—I might even say elegant. There’s a metallic border that shows on all sides of the device, and a fabric-and-velcro strap that is threaded through this trim. Polar sent me a “greige” model to test, and it has gold trim. The hidden surface of the device is also gold—I thought that was a nice touch.

Polar Loop Specs

Polar Loop fitness tracker is without screen and has a lightweight body. The straps are fabric so that if one wears it 24×7 it’s comfortable.

The Loop can track sleep, steps and can recognise and log activity sessions.

The Loop has two bands. The small/medium band is for wrist sizes 135mm-190mm. Loop’s medium/large band is made for wrist sizes 160mm-230mm. It has a magnetic charging cable on one end and on another has a USB-C connector. The battery is decent and can get upto 8 days on a charge.

The matching app for this device is Polar Flow. Daily you will get some data in the “diary” tab showing your sleep duration and stats like HRV, a recovery score, and a cardio status, along with total steps and active minutes for the day.

Polar Loop price

Launched in September 2025, the most exciting part for buyers in that the Polar Loop is a subscription-free band. Polar Loop is priced at $199 in the US.

Though no other cost is there, a completely optional subscription called Polar Fitness Program is provided, which is an adaptive training plan and costs 9.99 Euro a month after a free trial.

Polar Loop Strap

Polar uses a fabric strap that weaves, buckle-like, over the wearable’s main unit. It covers where the screen would be in a normal watch. The Loop uses a velcro-style fastener. While much of the core brick is plastic, the top and outer parts are brushed bronze-shade steel to give classy look.

The Polar Loop weighs 29g with strap. The Polar Loop has no buttons and no LED status indicator. Water resistance is rated at WR30. One of the core appeals of the Polar Loop is, of course, that there is no mandatory subscription. There is a paid part of the app, though.

The Polar Loop has all the basic data, but the biggest problem is phone app, which is not fun to use and looks kind of old-school.

Polar Loop is a good alternative as it is subscription free, its biggest win.
