The Mobile World Congress (MWC) has ended on February 28 in Barcelona. And there is hardly any company that wasn’t represented. From Telecommunications companies to chipmakers and most importantly Smartphone manufacturers were duly present, showing off their latest technology applicable in the new 5G phones about to hit the market.
The fifth-generation wireless network (5G) comes with a promise of improved speed rate and lower latency. It promises to also increase the rate of downloading speed as well as boost technologies like autonomous cars. Though not so many 5G smartphones debuted at the MWC 2019, we a list of all the 5G phones announced at the event.
Huawei Mate X
The Huawei Mate X is a 5G Smartphone that generated the most buzz at the 2019 MWC. The Mate X is a foldable 5G device with a 6.6-inch 2480Ă—1148 screen when folded. When unfolded, it has an 8-inch 2200Ă—2480 display. Huawei stated that the phone makes use of the Balong 5000, Huawei’s own 5G chipset. Mate X will be available in the market from the middle of 2019.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
Samsung unveiled its newest lineup of Galaxy S10 phones at the MWC event in San Francisco last week. Of course, the Samsung S10 5G (one of the phones) did not disappoint, living up to expectations. This 5G enabled device comes with all the extra features that are appealing to customers who are willing to spend extra cash on phones. It has a 6.7-inch 1440Ă—3040 AMOLED display. Samsung says the phone will be available in the second quarter of 2019.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
Xiaomi, a Chinese Smartphone company launched the Mi MIX 3 (a 5G enabled phone) at the MWC 2019. The phone company said during the launching that the phone has been in the developing process for almost three years. The 5G Mi Mix 3 comes with some interesting features which include a dual-camera system, and a sliding front-facing camera resulting in a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. According to Xiaomi, the device will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and will be made available from May this year.

LG V50 ThinQ
LG at the MWC 2019 released the V50 ThinQ smartphone. This 5G enabled device comes with a 6.4-inch OLED screen, a new biometric security measure called Hand ID, and a three rear-camera system designed to create content on a high-speed network. Rather than go for a foldable device, the South Korean electronics firm released the G8 ThinQ that can be attached to the device to create two screens. LG is yet to disclose when the phone will go on sale.

ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G
At the Mobile World Congress, Chinese company ZTE released a smartphone to join the list of the 5G phones at the MWC 2019. The Axon 10 Pro 5G Smartphone did not come with lots of features like a folding display. However, it has some unique features. A triple-camera system, an in-display fingerprint reader and runs on the Qualcomm 855 processor. The company which is also providers of telecommunications equipment said that there is a unique antenna in the device that enables it boosts signal on lower-speed networks like 3G and 4G. The device also has a 6.7-inch 1080p display. ZTE confirmed that the phone will be launched in Europe and China in the first half of 2019.

Samsung Galaxy Fold
Among the phones released at the MWC 2019, the Galaxy Fold most likely will be the most talked-about phones. Reasons being that it can fold and that it is produced by Samsung (the world’s biggest phone manufacturer). The smartphone has a 4.6-inch cover display and when unfolded, its display is a 7.3-inch 1536×2152 Super AMOLED screen. The Samsung Galaxy Fold will be available from April 26.
