Apple eliminated the MacBook Air of Intel processors from its website and replaced it with M1 MacBook Air that starts from Rs. 92,900. This model offers 8GB RAM, 256 GB storage, and 7 Core GPU. The second variant of MacBook Air offers 8 core GPU, 8 GB RAM, and 512 GB storage at Rs. 1, 17, 900. The storage and RAM can be configured and expanded during checkout. However, it can’t be upgraded later. Apple MacBook Air M1, 2020 comes in three colors – Silver, Gold, and Space Grey.
Apple Macbook Air M1: Design
MacBook Air’s design is the same as MacBook Air Retina’s design, and the weight and dimensions of both the models are also the same. Two USB Type-C ports are located on the MacBook’s left and a headphone jack on the other side. USB 4 or Thunderbolt is supported by the Type-C ports that enable high-speed data transfer, quick charging, and connections for up to 6K display. The MacBook Air features a Retina display of 13.3 inches with 2,560×1,600 resolution, including the brightness of 400 nits. Apple supports DCI-P3 vast color gamut, which offers the users great flexibility in tasks of color grading.
The trackpad, palm rest area, and keyboard layout are the same as the Intel MacBook. It has cut-outs of the stereo speaker on both sides of the keyboard, and it also features the enhancement of Dolby Atmos. MacBook Air’s Force Touch trackpad is layered with a glass that works excellent, and its scissor mechanism keys offer smooth typing. Few changes have been made to the keys of the MacBook. The function keys F4, F5, and F6 used in the previous model for brightness adjustment and launchpad are now used as shortcuts for do not disturb, dictation, and spotlight search.
