The ASUS Zenfone 7 is scheduled to launch next week on August 26. Though there are many reasons to be excited about the device launch, the most significant is the comeback of the Swivel or Flip camera system, which will be doubled and upgraded.
The ZenFone 7 would be an updated version of the prestigious Asus 6Z. ASUS Company is retaining a lot of the Asus 6Z into the new ZenFone 7. The Flip Camera would make a return with a 60Hz LCD. However, there wouldn’t be a high refresh rate AMOLED display on the ZenFone 7.

The ZenFone 7 will have the Flip Camera like the Asus 6Z but with fewer changes. Instead of two cameras, there will be three sensors. The primary camera will have a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor followed by a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor as an ultra-wide camera and Time-of-Fight (ToF) sensor as the third camera. The users can surely expect depth effects with portrait mode photos with the new phone. There will also be an accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, and fingerprint sensors in the phone.

Because of the Flip Camera, the ZenFone 7 will not have any notch or punch-hole cutout for the camera. There would, however, be only a 6.4-inch bezel-less display like the Asus 6Z. There is also an LCD panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz, and BOE will manufacture the Full HD+ pixel resolution display. There will also be a capacitive fingerprint sensor mounted on the side. The chipset that would adorn the ZenFone 7 would be the same one from any 2020 flagship Android phone. The ZenFone 7 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset that ensures 5G connectivity for the phone. The kernel also shows a microSD card slot along with a dual SIM port (both GSM) fit for Nano-SIM cards. The new phone by ASUS will have Android 10. The connectivity options on the phone will include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, 3G, and 4G.
Users were eagerly speculating that they might see a quad camera on the Zenfone 7. The latest visual teaser by ASUS suggests similar. There were rumors of a 64MP primary camera, two 12MP and ultrawide shooters, and a TOF sensor on the new phone. The device will be powered by a 5,000mAh cell. As for the charging power, there was a high chance of 30W, which is decent for a flagship in 2020. There was also speculation of wireless charging and water resistance features, an OLED screen, an in-display fingerprint scanner of the much-awaited Zenfone 7.
