The budget-friendly Chromebook Pro is developing high-end features with every successive model and we can now with no doubt compare it with the well-established Apple’s MacBook Pro 2016.
Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is a 15-inch notebook bearing the power as close to an Apple Desktop. The model is slimmer and lighter with the HWD measurements as 0.61 by 13.75 by 9.48 inches and 3.99 pounds of weight. The keyboard is a very comfortable touch-bar that makes your interaction smoother. It also contains a Touch-id for quicker login and higher security.
MacBooks have always been on the top in terms of its display. MacBook Pro 2016 is also maintaining the consistency and has inherited 2800*1800 retina display of its previous model. There has been a DCI-P3 color gamut which is similar to the one in iPhone 7 and improved 500nit screen brightness.
The ports are updated to USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports. There is 16 GB RAM and also storage capacity of 512 GB. It is even equipped with a SSD (which you can upgrade to higher capacity), a very fast processor and graphics chip. The Skylarked processor and the customizable touch bar above the keypad are the highlights of the MacBook.
Samsung Chromebook Pro
The budget-friendly Chromebook pro with its very own chrome OS is a 12.3-inch touchscreen model. It is thin and small with about a half inch of thickness and 2.38 pounds of weight; even more cool and compact than Apple’s MacBook pro. The display of Chromebook is also excellent with 2400*1600 pixel resolution and a very easy-going touch screen. The device runs on Intel’s Core M3 processor and 4 Gigs RAM. There is a 32GB internal storage capacity. It contains ports of USB 3.0 version, while we have the updated ports in MacBook pro.
With its very own ‘single Chrome browser’ you can run all the apps available on Google store with stability. This perfect match of android apps and Chrome OS is rare. It has a powerful battery life which lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge. The most alluring feature is its360-degreee screen flip; allowing your Chromebook to get transformed into tablet. This turn-over facility provides you flexibility in handling the chassis. Another pretty perk in the budget-friendly Chromebook Pro is its smart pencil same as the one available in Samsung’s note series cell-phones; with which you can access the touch screen.
Chromebook Pro Pros:
- The 360-degree revolving hinge allows you to work with flexibility and you can set and turn it over according to your convenience.
- The accessibility with the smart pencil gives you an easy-going experience in your routine work.
- The model is so small and compact, so you can carry it to every place.
- Due to higher battery life, you can also freely use it while traveling.
MacBook Pro Pros:
- The high-resolution retina display in MacBook Pro is a replacement to Mac Desktop.
- The 16 GB RAM makes it cool to go with heavy usage.
- It has updated USB-C/thunderbolt 3 ports.
- With the 500 nit screen brightness, you can also use it in sun-lit room.
- The second generation Touch-id helps you to login it quickly and to maintain high security.
The lately, 2011 debuted Chromebook Pro is developing with its every iteration and is now no less than the Apple MacBook Pro. So if you are looking for a budget friendly Notebook, with high battery life and travel-friendliness as your priority then, Samsung Chromebook Pro lacks nowhere in these concerns and I would really suggest to give it a chance.
How much is the budget-friendly machine?
Super excited to get the Pro. Was able to get a Plus for my wife for valentines day to replace an iPad that she locked herself out of and Apple will not unlock without a receipt. Problem is the iPad was a gift.
My wife is a heavy Apple user so was a little worried but she loves it. I wish did earlier. Her thing is having a keyboard at times is ideal. But she wanted something that felt like a tablet also at times.
She has zero clue what something is and just wanted her stuff that she uses. So just put Android versions where possible and logged her in and she is good to go.
What is great about our world today is that it really is no longer difficult to move between ecosystems. Both ecosystems have the same apps. My wife is probably not unusual as she is/was a heavy Apple hardware user but also a heavy Google eccosystem user.
Besides the iPhone I could see my wife more and more using non Apple hardware. The problem in the past was we only had two choices MS or Apple. For us it was easy Apple. But now with Google there is a new choice and I like the Google approach which to me is like Apple in user experience being really important but then a more reasonable price for what you are getting.
