The South Korean multinational conglomerate- Samsung, is known for its very own dedicated set of unpacked events lately to announce its latest flagship line-up of smartphone models. But, it seems this year the company wants to take their bar a level higher, as it is gearing up for its deed in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress 2016.

According to the official teaser video, Samsung will be officially announcing the unpacked and the rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 line-up on February 21st, Sunday, at 7 PM local time, which means 1 PM in the US east coast for the event to commence.
The Android-based smartphone giant loves transforming a smartphone model launch into a platform of literal dance and song, and it seems that ‘The Next Galaxy’ launch will be somewhat similar to its predecessors.
In the latest official teaser video, Samsung reveals that the launch of ‘The Next Galaxy’ will draw the curtains off its long-anticipated line-up of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S7 range smartphones.

The teaser reveals a picture, which consists of a semi-opened box comprising 2 glowing edges that form a ‘7’. It also includes a glimpse of high-tech, next-gen Samsung VR Headset, which indicates there might be some latest news related to the headset as well. All in all, the teaser shows a cube floating in the air, hashtag #TheNextGalaxy, and someone with Samsung Gear VR.
The most probable Samsung Galaxy’s latest models to be launched are Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus respectively. Along with these high-end Samsung models, few other models with Mini, Active, and Plus versions are also rumored to be unveiled.
According to the reports, it was being tipped that the latest Samsung Galaxy S7 line-up will feature below-mentioned specifications:
- Display Size: 5.1-inch QHD display
- Storage: 4GB of RAM & 64GB inbuilt storage
- Camera: 5-megapixel front-facing camera & 12-megapixel rear camera
- Processor: Snapdragon 820 processor
- Charging Type: USB Type-C Port
- Slot: MicroSD
Samsung is also expected to unveil Exynos 8890 SoC equipped smartphone models in some regions.
If recent reports are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S7 models will have a video playback of longer running hours- 17 hours to be precise, at full brightness, which points out the fact that the latest line-up will arrive with an impressive longer battery life. The S7 Edge, although, will be larger in display size with a 5.5-inch screen as compared to the rest of its partners to be unveiled.
So far, we have seen giant tech corporations namely Sony, Gionee, and LG announcing their keynote event dates for Mobile World Congress 2016.
On February 24, the Chinese smartphone king- Xiaomi, is expected to unveil its flagship smartphone Mi 5.
