Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on August 18th, and it a piece of great news for the fans in Europe who will get a chance to purchase a physical copy of the upcoming game. The icing on the cake is that Flight Simulator will be available on a package of 10 discs! The package will be available courtesy of a publisher called Aerosoft who made a deal with Microsoft to distribute the game in the European continent. After launching at E3 in 2019, and recently setting a release date on the PC for August, Aerosoft took the initiative of making Microsoft’s new Flight Simulator available as a physical release.

The ten dual-layered DVDs of the game will have around 90GB of game assets. This will include the new and useful textures and models of the planes that are featured in the game. That would lead to a total of almost 100GB of data for users. However, people with a slower internet connection won’t be able to download. As such, they can purchase the edition to own it forever.

No physical release of that magnum will be available without a manual. Nor would Flight Simulator be without one, it will have a proper manual for the players. The package of the Flight Simulator will be available in a fancy-looking box, and the digital version of the game would have enhanced multiple editions of the physical release. The boxed package will include the simulator code, world and aircraft models, optional streamed online content, and 3rd party files. The price tag of the physical release hasn’t been announced yet, though the stated that it would be close to the price a user pays Microsoft. Also, purchasing more of the expensive €130 will give players access to unlimited additional aircraft and airports. However, both the versions will be available on 10 DVDs.

As gaming journaling site Eurogamer states that it is hard to predict if the total ten discs is a record for a physical media game release. Flight Simulator on its part would cover fewer Blu-ray discs, but the fact that it is shipping on DVDs makes it more easily accessible for gamers and lover alike.
