New Ipad Pro 2018 Review: The Tablet That Won’t Be Easy To Beat

Apple unveiled two super swish new iPad Pros: 11-inch and 12.9-inch powerful tools as successors of the 9.7-inch iPad it released earlier this year. Both devices feature exclusively new designs that aim to modernize the user experience and reduce bezel size, which Apple has been working hard to do away with. Apple alleged that the two new iPad Pro 2018 are the most compact the company has ever created after reducing the bezels and pegging their thickness at 5.9mm.

New iPad Pro 2018 review: Design

As we already know, none of the new iPad Pros features a physical home button. Users will interact with the device using pure touch and gestures.  Interestingly, the lighting port is gone.  The tablets are coming with USB type C ports that will also allow you to attach the new iPad Pro 2018 to external displays. Enabled is also a new feature that allows consumers to use the iPad Pro 2018 as a power bank to charge other devices. You must be imagining the iPad Pro battery capacity. Redesigned is also the new Apple Pencil 2 which now docks to the new iPad Pro magnetically.

Apple has improved the Face ID. It now works regardless of how you position the device: both portrait and landscape orientations allow you to unlock the device with ease. The rear-positioned Smart Connector has been moved from the long edge to the tablet’s bottom. The new iPad Pro 2018 features many magnets on the back for easy connection to the new folio smart keyboard, which can only be used when the laptop is in landscape oriented.

New iPad Pro 2018 review: Camera, battery life and performance

Apple installed a 12-megapixel camera behind the two new iPad Pro 2018, which features better low-light capabilities than its predecessors. The front-facing camera has 7-megapixel sensors with TrueDepth snapper it inherited from iPhone. In terms of video, both devices recorded 4K video at 30 fps and 1080p at 60fps. That’s still behind the Sony Xperia XZ3, which offers up to 1440p at 60fps. But the video is reasonably fantastic.

The new Apple iPad Pro 2018 battery capacity for the two variants are not the same. The 11-inch iPad Pro battery life is around 29.37-watt-hour while the 12.9-inch has a 36.71-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery.

iPad Pro 2018 release date

Apple announced the new iPad Pro 2018 release date during the launching event on November 30th. According to Tim Cook, both tablets will ship and appear in shops this coming Wednesday, that’s November 7, 2018.

New iPad Pro 2018: Early verdict

The new iPad Pro 2018 can serve as an ultimate replacement for a laptop, unlike the previous models which cannot run some apps available on PCs. This puts the new Apple tablet ahead of other flagships and marks it as a powerful tool that can be used for “real work.” With the iPad Pro 2018 price starting at $800, it simply means the availability of relatively a high-end computer at that price. If you want to do stuff with pretty small devices, then you should consider buying iPad Pro 2018.
