February 25 may be very close to see all the new features embedded in the Galaxy S9 and S9+ as Samsung plans to release them. But the new feature leaks suggest we can have better imaginations of the new phones before they hit the market shelves on March 16.

Some of the speculations released before the new feature leaks were right. We can say that the company is not ready to ditch some features as speculated. Perhaps, the future market would not welcome extremely new features regardless of other powerful upgrades if the mobile phones were built completely different from what we have become so conversant with.

Now, what are our expectations? What are the upgrades done to the Galaxy S8+ to offer the 2018 package? A lot! Significant camera upgrades, enhanced processor, and a few other features.

Design

The designs for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to depict the traditional style flaunted by its predecessors (Galaxy S8 and S8+), with the same accessories arrangement. TheVerge claims that the S9 and S9+ look almost identical with the predecessors (S8 and S8+). Also, that the only conspicuous tweak in the new products is the fingerprint sensor positions which would be vertically aligned with the camera, no longer sitting beside the camera like on the Galaxy S8. With this upgrade, the fingerprint reader would be located in a more natural position, beneath the camera, which can be accessed easily.

Performance

The Snapdragon 845 processor in S9 and S9+ are proposed to offer extra 25% speed compared to the Snapdragon 835 chip in their predecessors. That will bring a lot of advantages such as improved image signal processing, enabling the new flagships to capture images faster as well as slow-motion video shots at 480 frames per second.

The new processors will also provide super fast gigabit LTE speeds, fast charging system, and improved the biometric security. In addition, the Snapdragon 845 chip has up to 30 percent better power efficiency.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to deliver improved sound quality since they are embedded with the new AKG speaker trailed from HTC. The 3.5 mm headphone jack rumoured to go obsolete for micro USB is still featured. We think that would give them an edge over the new iPhone series that lack headphone jack.

We may have succeeded in satisfying our curiosity about the 2018 Galaxy S-series from the new feature leaks. But at the same time, we should note that the leaked features are not final. Samsung is still in good position to make more changes before the release on February 25.
