New York University (NYU) is a private, nonsectarian American research college situated in New York City. Founded in 1831, NYU is one of the biggest private non-benefit institutions of American higher education. NYU is formed from a variety of institutions which include, more than twenty schools, universities, and institutes, located in six centers all through Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn. NYU Tandon School of Engineering is one of the schools and colleges that make up for New York University (NYU). Established in 1854, the school is the second oldest private engineering and technology school in the United States.
