The OnePlus 8 has a feel-good and premium design with subtle changes than the former model. There is an elegant curved glass design with a big 6.55-inch display. The phone weighs 180 grams, with its Aluminium frame and glass back.

OnePlus 8 Design

The camera module of the One Plus 8 is similar to the OnePlus 7, with one additional camera. The display and the rear are protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass, making the OnePlus 8 a scratch-resistant phone. The SIM tray is located along the phone’s bottom edge and can house up to two nano-SIM. The OnePlus 8 is a premium 5G phone. There are a USB Type-C port and the phone speaker near the SIM tray, the volume rocker on the left side, and the power button to the right along with the alert slider.

OnePlus 8

OnePlus 8 avails us everything we have seen before with a $100 more.

OnePlus 8 Price

  • Rs 41,999 for the 6 GB RAM model (128 GB internal storage)
  • Rs 44,999 for the 8 GB RAM model (128 GB internal storage)
  • Rs 49,999 for the 12 GB RAM model (256 GB internal storage)

The OnePlus 8 has a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate.  The 90 Hz refresh rate makes the visuals flicker-free and eye-catching. One can also opt to switch to 60 Hz to save battery on the phone. Qualcomm’s current flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC is powered by 12 GB RAM to go with it. The OnePlus 8 gives excellent performance in both regular use and gaming.

It supports Dolby Atmos and gives excellent virtual surround and other sound enhancements for earphones. The phone also supports AptX, AptX HD, and LDAC for better output over Bluetooth on earphones. The call quality is also efficient.

The OnePlus 8 has a massive 4300 mAh battery that manages to liven up 30 hours, up to a day and a half of regular usage. This is remarkable battery life, given the powerful processor and display it supports. The phone is superb in fast charging as OnePlus gives a 30W Warp charger with the OnePlus 8 that charges the phone from 0-50 percent in less than 25 minutes, and entirely in about 65 minutes.

OnePlus 8 Camera

The OnePlus 8 has a 48MP primary camera with OIS and PDAF, but the phone’s 16MP ultrawide camera lacks autofocus feature. The 12MP telephoto camera has been replaced by a 2MP macro camera that is reasonable in photography skills.  The ultrawide camera of the phone gives a 116-degree field of view and relatively good output.  The ‘Portrait’ is beautiful in the OnePlus 8, with the right foreground and background separation feature. However, low-light photography isn’t a strong point of the OnePlus 8, and a lack of optical zoom gives distaste.

The 16MP front camera is decent. The phone’s rear cameras can record videos in 1080p and 4K resolution at 30 and 60 fps and slow-motion 1080p and 720p videos at 240 and 480 fps, respectively. There is also a super 4K Cine mode that lets the user shoot 4K videos with a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The OnePlus 8 runs on Android 10, with OxygenOS 10.5.8. this is inarguably the best Android UI around and one of the OnePlus 8 phone’s remarkable features.
