OnePlus unveiled the Oxygen11 Open Beta 1 powered by Android 11. The company introduced the first preview of the much-awaited OxygenOS 11 a few weeks ago but now disclosed more features in the beta of 1 mode.
With OxygenOS 11, the company brings transformational changes and beta updates in the visual layout to its skin and on the Always-on Display feature. Although the OnePlus phones always had AMOLED panels, the trend is changing now. The phone also has a simplified settings page similar to Samsung’s One UI.
There are better fonts for clear readability, more customization options, and unique themes for Zen Mode with a lot more. The OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 1 phone is limited to the OnePlus 8 series. It has an outstanding hardware feature as the Snapdragon 865 chipset with a 90Hz display, 8GB of RAM, and 128G.
Though there is no official date announcement on its release, experts are expecting a short wait.
The OxygenOS 11 update based on Android 11 will feature in 12 OnePlus phones. One distinctive addition is the OnePlus 6 and 6T, which will be the third Android version update. Following is the list of phones that will have the OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11:
The OxygenOS 11 will have the beta tester Always-on Display, which displays the time and date, pending notifications, and the battery level. Users will also get 12 different 12 clock faces to choose from, and they can also schedule AOD or enable it for the entire day.
The OxygenOS 11 has a new design, especially for ‘OnePlus’ first-party apps, including applications like Weather, Notes, Gallery, and many more. The feature highlights a bold typeface with large icons that makes the app more recognizable.
The settings page in OxygenOS 11 will be similar to a Samsung phone. The menu elements are pushed further downwards on the page, making them easier to access with one hand.
The OS has exciting wallpapers on Android and dynamic backgrounds that change according to the day’s time. There is also a giant globe that changes its position across the screen following the time.
OnePlus brings the users a system-wide dark mode in the present versions of OxygenOS. Users can now schedule dark mode or enable it for the entire day. The dark mode scheduler is shifted from the customization menu to the display settings.
OnePlus brings in the new OnePlus Sans font with wider spacing and a clear typeface. Users will switch to the font more easily while setting up the phone or through the customization menu itself.
OxygenOS 10 also enables users to access the notification panel with a simple swipe-down gesture from anywhere on the home screen. Users can also customize this feature- they can make it pull down the notification pane or get easy access to the Shelf.
