Razer may have surprised us with its new Mercury White (limited edition) Razer Blade 15 laptop but that goes a long way to tell us how deep colors can represent brands. The gaming hardware manufacturer on Wednesday introduced a new base model for its bestselling Blade 15 gaming laptop aside from announcing the limited edition – with both units most suitable for creative professionals and esports athletes.
Microsoft had last week stunned us with its latest Surface Devices laden with new techs in a black color option. Now Razer is saying we can actually hang out with our laptops in a house full of Macs without showcasing any affection for games.

Razer Blade 15
The new base model of Razer Blade 15 brings more storage and connectivity. It has a dual storage configuration featuring a 2SSD + 2.5-inch hard drive for more speed and storage capacity. The model offers a new single-zone RGB keyboard embedded with Razer Chroma lighting system for a full key backlighting, including the function keys. With a 0.7-inch thick frame – a Razer CNC aluminum chassis, the new model accommodates a Gigabit Ethernet port that offers more connectivity.
Features for the new model of the world’s smallest gaming laptop include an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics, an upgradable system memory of 16 GB, thin bezel 15.6-inch screen – 1920 x 1080 with a 60Hz refresh rate. With these specs, it’s actually easy to see where Razer pushed to cut the price for the new model Blade 15, which will still allow users to play most games between medium to high settings smoothly.

The Razer Blade 15 base model is $300 cheaper than the earlier model
The Razer blade 15 price starts at $1,599 and available for purchase today in the United States, Canada, and China through selected retailers and Razer website. The model will be available in many parts of Europe and Asia-Pacific countries sometime in November 2018.
Razer will be releasing the limited edition of Razer Blade 15, which is coming with a Mercury White finish, differently. The Razer Blade 15 Mercury White limited edition will be available for purchase in Q4 2018, of course, in limited quantities. The unit will be delivered exclusively by Razer in the United States and Canada. Some selected retailers in China will be able to deliver the unit for customers in China.

Razer Blade 15
The Razer Blade 15 limited edition prides a distinct color blend all through. With its white finish, the USB ports are black (not green) and it will also feature a non-illuminated and tone-on-tone Razer logo, unlike the traditional matte black finish with green USB ports and an illuminated green Razer logo.
“The Razer Blade 15 is the world’s smallest 15.6-inch gaming laptop,” said Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan “It’s been selling out immediately. It’s been a commercial and a critical success. But there were always these trolls online that came after me.”
