Smartphone giant Samsung is gearing up to show off the new version of One UI. The Android 11-based One UI 3.0 pre-beta is now available in Korea and the U.S. to selected developers. Samsung is also set to kick off a public beta soon to let the Samsung Galaxy phone owners use the upcoming version of One UI.
The One UI 3.0 beta is constrained to the Galaxy S20 phone series. Samsung is planning to make the public beta available to only seven markets across the world. While the Galaxy Note 20 series phones were launched recently, Samsung usually inputs the beta program on its more mainstream Galaxy S lineup. A similar case happened this year too! Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 six months back, and it is one of the most pioneering Android phones available today.
Samsung One UI Upgrade Details
One UI 3.0 beta Release
The One UI 3.0 pre-beta is available in Korea, and the U.S. Developers now aim to observe compatibility testing with carriers and device models. The official Samsung One UI 3.0 beta page states that the pre-beta model is already full and that interested users can sign up for the public beta when available. As for the One UI 3.0 public beta, Samsung is yet to announce a release date. Samsung usually releases the public beta a few weeks after the closed beta program starts, which means if the manufacturer is still going by that routine, users can expect the release by the end of September.
Availability of Samsung One UI 3.0 beta program
Samsung has limited the number of markets that will get access to the beta program earlier, which applies to the One UI 3.0. Samsung stated that it would offer the beta builds to Galaxy phone users across China, Germany, India, Poland, and the United Kingdom. This means that the program will be available across only seven markets in the world. Once more countries are added to the much-awaited beta program, users will have a better idea about the models eligible for the beta.
Eligible phones for Samsung One UI 3.0 beta
Samsung is limiting the One UI 3.0 beta program for only the Galaxy S20 series. While the One UI 3.0 is limited to only the Galaxy S20 series, the stable update will be available for several phone models. Though Samsung hasn’t yet announced, going by their previous beta launches and the beta programs’ compatibility, all phones launched within the last two years are expected to get the program. Some of these phone models that are likely to receive the One UI 3.0 stable program include:

Samsung One Supports Android 11
The One UI 3.0 is expected to have all the new features in Android 11. This means that there would be a dedicated conversation view on the notifications window, chat bubbles pop-up, and enhanced privacy features. Android 11 will also bring in a new power menu that will act both as a dashboard, a media player hidden in the quick settings menu, and multiple other functions to increase phone security.
