Fuji X-T5, the new mirrorless digital camera from the Minato City-headquartered company, has been officially unveiled, of late. This appears to be a huge upgrade over its predecessors, in terms of technical features. It also marks the largest revamp in Fujifilm’s compact flagship camera line up in the last five years.

Let’s have a close look at the X-T5 features and analyze them in detail, along with unearthing all the important aspects.

A Giant Leap: Fuji X-T5

Fujifilm, which has made a name for itself in the world of photography, continues to surprise us even after almost a hundred years since its inception. Come 2022, it’s one of the few companies in the world which manufacture APS-C cameras. What separates Fuji from others, is its rare ability to make the APS-Cs, high-end ones. Thanks to making a brilliant blend of traditional setup and modern technology, it has managed to strike a chord with millions of photography enthusiasts around the world. Even the ones who are into videography, also resort to these gems of APS-C cameras from the trusted house of Fuji.

When we shift our focus to the X-T5 features, it becomes crystal clear in the first place that Fuji X-T5 outsmarts its immediate predecessor X-T4 by huge margins. The new mirrorless digital camera houses Fuji’s latest 40 MP sensor (up from 26 MP) that allows you to shoot 6.2K video at 30 frames per second. It’s also smaller and lighter in nature, compared to X-T4. Hence, portability, which is one of the principal features for such cameras, becomes even more seamless. In addition to all these, the overall design is simpler too, which has moved the shutter button and front control dial in order to provide a better hold. Here are the other important X-T5 features for you –

  • Unleash More Power: The freshly minted X-T5 comes with X-Processor 5 that facilitates AI-based autofocusing, 4:2:2 10-bit output, F-log2 and compatibility with the HEIF photo format.
  • Enhanced Stability: Fuji X-T5 has seven stops, slightly better than X-T4 which had 6.5, providing better in-body stabilization.
  • Magnified Performance: With a higher-resolution tilting LCD and an advanced electronic viewfinder, which comes with 0.8X magnification instead of the X-T4’s 0.75X, it simply outnumbers its predecessor.

An Absolute Bargain

Taking everything into consideration, the X-T5 features look more than impressive and quite value for money. The X-T5 price is $1,699.95. Thus, it costs the exact same when compared to its previous model X-T4. On the other hand, it costs much less than the pro-model X-H2, despite matching some of its striking features like, 40-megapixel APS-C sensor, fifth-gen X Processor, subject-detection autofocus and seven-stop in-body image stabilization.

The X-T5 release date is November 17, 2022 and the pre-orders have started already. You can also add a cherry on the top by spending another $599.95 – the XF 30mm f/2.8 R LM WR Macro lens. Meanwhile, Fuji X-T5 is up for grabs in two different color schemes – one is silver and another is black.Â
