The rummage for a secure smartphone will always continue; as day-to-day hackers find some or the other way to peep in, no matter how highly secured the phone is. This time the search halts at the Turing Phone, an initiative by Turing Robotic industries. The smartphone that is a combination of distinct, liquid metal framework with a hard-line and staunch focus on security.
The company touts the latest âLiquidmorphiumâ smartphone to be hack-free because of its high-end encryption system and unbreakable frame with an incredible robust material that is shock resistant.
The frame is made up of liquid metal alloy, with a mirror finish. The innards of the phone are claimed to be weather resistant and waterproof. The phone issues a rating of IPX8, it has been tested underwater for up to 24 hours without an issue. Phone shares 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 5.5 inches, 1, 920×1, 080-pixel display which is less than flagship smartphones like LG G4 or Samsung Galaxy S6.

The phone is certainly not onerous as it can easily fit into a pocket. The phone offers three schemes of color that are: purple and gray, blue and red, and red and white; namely Beowulf, Pharaoh and Cardinal in order. The sim card slot is on the left side of the device. The charging for this âLiquidmorphiumâ is done by the magnetic cable known as Wallaby Magstream that resembles Appleâs MagSafe 2.
The battery is non-detachable with 3,000 mAh capacity. Bluetooth headset is required for audio as 3.5 mm jack headphone is not available in this phone. The Turing has three storage sizes to offer: 16GB for $610, 64GB for $740 and 128GB for $870.
The current prototype is based is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop version, but the final version will be a custom interface, which would be running on top of android, according to the developers.
The smartphone company has not yet started with pre-orders. Early birds can reserve the phone for now. The availability for purchase and shipping has not been revealed so far.
In order to make the deal toothsome, Turing Phone developers are offering bonus packages of accessories to the ones who reserve or pre-order when it starts. These accessories will include earphones, a mobile gaming controller, Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth headset.
The prototype of this smartphone definitely has a futuristic appeal, let us just wait and watch how this new brand takes control over the market and our smartphone fantasies.
