Realme Book Prime, the new laptop, powered by 11-Gen Intel processor, was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2022.

The company’s bio on Twitter reads, “With Dare-to-Leap spirit, realme is committed to providing smartphones and AIoT products with a comprehensive superior experience for the young.” At the MWC 2022 in Barcelona, the Chinese electronic goods maker surprised fans with the laptop, along with true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones and Realme GT 2-series smartphones.

The Realme Book Prime has a 14.9mm high-quality aluminum chassis that is “designed to empower.” It has a resolution of 2K ‘Full Vision Display’ and the company promises that the battery can last for over 11 hours. Realme claims that the 65W fast charger will get one up to 50% charge in under 30 minutes.

The Realme Book Prime prepares you success.

Software

It ships with Windows 11 out of the box. The laptop’s biggest selling point is its 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11320H processor. Along with Intel Iris Xe graphics, it is ideal for content creation and gaming. The graphic card is known for delivering transformational discrete and integrated graphic technology. However, one drawback of this laptop is that there is no option to improve upon things by placing an additional dGPU, meaning that the user will have to make the best of what is already present.

Display

The screen has a 14-inch 3:2 display with 2160×1440 pixels resolution that covers 100% of the sRGB spectrum and achieves a peak brightness of 400 nits.  A seamless multi-screen feature enables users to expand and duplicate their screen with connected devices.

Hardware

The extra-large PTP touchpad and the three-mode backlit keyboard helps the user work well in low-light environments, making it an useful accessory for gamers and executives.

On the sides, it contains a Thunderbolt 4 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.1 USB-A Gen-1 port, and a 3.2 USB-C Gen 2 port.

It also features a 2-in-1 fingerprint power button and an advanced Dual fan Vapor Chamber cooling system that uses cutting-edge technologies to deliver high performance while keeping the temperature to a minimum.

The laptop is available with 8GB and 16GB of LPDDR4x dual-channel memory RAM, and provides 512GB PCIe SSD storage for both models. It weighs approximately 1.38 kg making it portable and durable.

Audio & Connectivity

For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6, which will not just connect the user to the Internet but also provide better speeds even when the network is connected to a whole range of devices. It also has Bluetooth v5.2 which allows you to connect to other smart devices.

The Realme PC Connect feature is extremely beneficial to Realme and Oppo smartphone users.

The audio requirements are fulfilled with the help of stereo surround sound by DTS and the dual HARMAN audio speakers provide an immersive experience for one’s music, video, and gaming needs.

Online meetings, video calls, and classes will be a breeze as the dual microphones come with Vocplus AI-powered noise-reduction technology. They are built to remove background noise and provide better clarity. The 720p HD front camera supports video calls and is clear and useful for working professionals and students.

Price & Availability

Realme Prime will be available in three colors: Real Blue, Real Gray and Real Green. The company has not announced a release date for the Realme Book Prime, but it is expected to hit stores by mid of this year. Some experts suggest that the laptop will be launched globally by April, although nothing was mentioned at the MWC 2022.

The company revealed that the Realme Book Prime laptops will have a starting price of €999 for 8GB of RAM and the 16GB model will be available at €1,099. It is unclear when the laptops will be released and in which countries.
